Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in Systems Security, Cyber Security, Computer Information Technology, Information Assurance, or related field.
Technical certification required: Security+ CE
Experience in network or cyber security with an emphasis in Linux and other open-source programs and technologies.
Experience with security-related software tools, such as ForeScout, Nessus, Palo Alto, Splunk, tcpdump, or Wireshark.
Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Systems Security, Computer Information Technology, Industrial Technology with a concentration in Cyber Security, Information Assurance, or related field
Teaching experience at the community college or four-year College and/or experience as an industry/corporate trainer.
Technical certifications preferred Net+, Linux+, CCNA Security or CCNA Cyber Ops
Cyber Security related certifications such as CEH, CASP, CISSP, CySA, SCP

Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position. Duties
Primary duties include classroom/laboratory teaching of Systems Security and Analysis courses to include, but not limited to:
-Basic Security Concepts
-Perimeter Defense
-Intrusion Detection
-Linux Administration
-BASH shell scripting
-Digital Forensics
-Packet Analysis
-Compliance and Standards
Candidate will utilize Blackboard for the course content and delivery LMS as well as develop and support student success strategies that align with the Systems Security & Analysis Department’s program objectives and course outcomes.
Teach face-to-face classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus.
Teach online classes as needed by the Department.
Must be willing to teach security classes to High School students.
Incorporate latest instructional technologies & interactive learning technologies in course delivery.
Additional Duties:
-Assist in program recruitment.
-Advise and register students who are in the program.
-Monitor and improve student retention.
-Maintain class records.
-Assist in the design and update of course syllabi, outlines, and lesson plans.
-Evaluate classroom and online instruction and make necessary improvements.
-Provide quality customer service to students, faculty and staff.
-Continually develop and improve skills through professional development.
-Participate in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.
-Assist the department with the high school curriculum and students.
