Position Description
Pay Grade: Specialist 6

This position provides assistance within the Testing Assessment Center for College and Career Readiness students at the Beltline Education Center.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):

*Monitors and tracks attendance hours and measurable gains for Adult Basic Education (ABE), Adult Secondary Education (ASE), English as a Second Language (ESL) and Burlington English students at BEC
*Schedules students for initial placement and post-testing for Reading and Math
*Generates, inputs and maintains attendance documents using google docs to generate testing rosters
*Works closely with Program Performance and Accountability Team to identify and resolve errors with placement and post-test scores entered into Colleague
*Serves as a lead proctor for the center including supervision of test proctors, participation on hiring committees and coordination of proctor scheduling
Assists with registration, placement, and orientation into the program
Schedules private assessments for students with disabilities
Builds relationships and corresponds with instructors and Instructional Program Specialist to assist with tracking/location of absentee students
Escorts students from assigned classrooms and walks to testing center for post-testing
Distributes testing score reports to instructors, Instructional Program Specialist and Program Performance and Accountability team for entering into Colleague
Tracks and reports assessment attendance numbers to Director of CCR Entry Services
Updates and maintains CCR graduate database
Maintains oversight of supply closet and reports shortage to Director of CCR Entry Services
Updates online testing reservation system for Info Sessions
Monitors the online reservation system for duplicate reservations, tracks reservation numbers, and identifies appropriate assessment testing level
Administers and proctors TABE & High School Equivalency exams, as needed
Maintains Pearson Vue & HiSET yearly certification
Promotes continuous improvement by competing an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or a group basis
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Intermediate skills in MS Word, Power point, and Excel
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced office environment
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, faculty, and students, and exhibit a high degree of integrity
Ability to complete training (Pearson Vue,HiSET, TASC, TABE) and maintain certifications needed for test proctors
Ability to travel to multiple sites within Wake County, A valid NC Driver's license and clean driving record
