- Valid North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician Certification
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
-Relevant field experience in Emergency Medical Science (EMS).
-North Carolina Paramedic Certification
-EMS-Specific Instructor certifications (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), etc.)
-More than one year of relevant field experience in Emergency Medical Science (EMS).
-Experience with patient simulators.
The EMS Simulation Technician works within the EMS Curriculum program and supports program functions by providing student and faculty support during laboratory settings. It will also work to maintain program equipment through general maintenance of task trainers and patient simulators used in the EMS program. This position reports directly to the Program Director of the EMS Program, with oversight by the Dean.
