Minimum Qualifications

Requirements:

Associate's degree

 Two years of work experience in a help desk environment or supporting a Learning Management System (LMS)

Preferred Qualifications

Preferences:

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology or related field

Experience with administering an online learning management system

Experience with Moodle

Experience with webinars and other technology integration programs

Position Description

This position is responsible for supporting the Workforce Continuing Education (WCE) Learning Management System (LMS). This includes providing faculty, staff, and students with technical assistance on the LMS and online course support, as well as monitoring the LMS and associated programs to ensure continued access for faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

*Provides technical support to faculty, staff, and students in accessing and utilizing the tools within the LMS

*Assists faculty with the back-up and restore processes for online courses

*Creates technical software user guides for instructor use

Monitors enrollment, course, and student logs to ensure LMS is functioning properly; escalates issues to appropriate personnel for resolution

Creates monthly Workforce Continuing Education Distance Learning Newsletter
 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office

Strong computer skills

Proficiency with Moodle

Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks

Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening assignments
