Position Description

In support of the overall Learning College, the Testing Coordinator/Recruiter will coordinate and administer testing and provide recruiting for Curriculum and Workforce and Economic Development/Continuing Education.


Examples of Duties

1. Coordinate placement testing, high school equivalency (HSE) tests, TABE, health sciences entrance examinations, Telecommunicators and Detention Testing on Campus and Correctional/Prison Sites.     
 a. Administer ACCUPLACER,  HSE exams, and Tele-communicators and Detention  Tests                 
b. Serve as chief examiner and test administrator for high school equivalency program
c. Maintain accurate  and complete testing records in Colleague and secure databases
d. Organize and input LEIS data into the computer
d. Secure tests in accordance with published testing guidelines
e. Organize and plan testing and proctor schedule
f. Prepare materials and scoring process for testing sessions
g. Provide test score interpretation assistance
h. Update testing related materials, website, procedures, and study material as necessary
i. Implement new tests as necessary
j. Participate in discussions and assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of assessment instruments in the placement of students in college level classes

2. Provide assistance to applicants and students
a. Serve as an admissions counselor to prospective students
b. Serve as an advisor to students as needed
c. Assist with admissions application entry and processing
d. Provide early intervention assistance and assessment
e. Conduct success workshops
f. Recruitment to promote curriculum and literacy education programs within the community
g. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position
