OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:The Testing Proctor/Assistant is responsible for proctoring testing and providing helpdesk support to Craven Community College students.
This position is 29 hours per week. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administers placement tests, health science admissions exams, Basic Skills assessments; proctors internal and external tests
- Assists with ADA testing services
- Answers high volume of inbound calls and maintains a response rate swiftly in accordance with agreed upon standards
- Provides students assistance with re-setting passwords in Colleague, Moodle and Gmail through walk-in, telephone and email
- Keeps Tutor Track records updated and enters all testing times into Tutor Track
- Participates in appropriate committees and task forces as assigned
- Performs other job-related duties and projects as assigned in support of the College’s mission, core values and goals
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Two (2) years' experience in an educational environment.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Knowledge
- North Carolina placement test procedures
- ADA accommodations for testing
- Knowledge of the college’s student information system
Skills
- Proficiency with computer software programs important to testing administration
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Abilities
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Perform basic arithmetic calculations
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Prepare and maintain required reports and records
