Minimum Qualifications
· Associate’s degree
· Ability to work a flexible work schedule with some evenings hours and regular travel between campuses
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree
· Bilingual
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· One year of testing/assessment experience
· Experience working in a secondary or post-secondary education setting
· Experience working in a data management system, i.e., Colleague
· Evidence of ability to relate and communicate well with individuals from all socio-economic levels and ethnic groups with respect and sensitivity
Position Description
Job Description
The Testing Services Proctor is a part-time position located primarily in Anson County at the L. L. Polk and Lockhart-Taylor Center Campuses. The Testing Services Proctor will also provide assessment services at all off-site locations including Anson Correctional Institution. Under the direction of the Director of SPCC Testing Services, the Testing Services Proctor will serve as a proctor for all tests administered at South Piedmont Community College. The Testing Services Proctor will guide testers through the appropriate check-in processes, administer assessments according to test publisher and/or instructor guidelines, ensure testing materials are secured and accounted for, and maintain a suitable testing space.
Job Duties
· Obtain and maintain all test publisher credentials at the proctor level or above
· Participate in regular training to ensure consistent adherence to test publisher policies
· Be familiar with and enforce local testing procedures
· Maintain testing environment that is comfortable, inviting, and free from distractions
· Perform setup duties and prepare testing spaces prior to testing sessions
· Administer assessments according to test publisher or instructor guidelines
· Report any irregularities in the testing process to the appropriate person/entity
· Ensure test security by returning or securing testing materials as instructed by test publishers and/or local assessment procedures
· Inform tester of next steps in retrieving test results and/or direct to the appropriate college department or test publisher for assistance
· Assist testers with scheduling appointments and provide information about testing expectations
· Ensure all testers receive appropriate testing accommodations as instructed by the testing publisher or Disability Services
· Attend annual PREA training to be able to administer assessments in the correctional facilities
· Maintain confidentiality of all records in accordance with FERPA
· Work flexible schedule if necessary, including day and evening hours and travel between campuses
· Provide exceptional customer service
· Exhibit personal and professional integrity that communicates a sense of mission, leadership, and ability to self-start
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of SPCC Testing Services and the Dean of the School of College and Career Readiness
