NC Community Colleges System Office has an opening for an Entry Level Technology Analyst in the Technology Solutions and Distance Learning Division. The recruitment salary: $64,004.
The Technology Solutions & Distance Learning Division provides leadership to the 58 institutions in the North Carolina Community College System through policy development, development and coordination of information and reporting systems, negotiation and brokerage of goods and services, and technical assistance. The division supports the staff of the System Office through information and technology resources and project management planning and organization. The division engages in implementing information technology, distance learning technologies and programs, library resources, and project management services. A commitment to customer service and the use of information for improving policies, practices and programs unifies this work unit with diverse functions.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The North Carolina Community College System’s Technology Solutions & Distance Learning division is looking for a technology analyst passionate about technology and its applications in higher education. The technologist will be dynamic, self-motivated, excellent in customer service practices, collaborative, problem solving, exhibit a capability to manage projects, maintain high standards for professionalism and passionate about evolving the system’s technology presence to meet higher education needs. The analyst should be able to grasp how technology works in a higher education environment.
The technology analyst will serve as a primary point of contact to manage the NCCCS website portfolio and will also study emerging technology trends in the higher education space, translate business requirements to technology solutions and develop communication material related to divisional activities. This analyst should be willing to learn, able to keep up with high volumes of information, and succinct in the ability to communicate. The analyst must also be able to competently coordinate with vendors across a host of technology needs including software, hardware, security, collaboration platforms and other emerging technologies.
The Technology Solutions & Distance Learning provides technology solutions for System Office staff and enterprise solutions for the North Carolina Community College System across the state. A successful candidate will have a propensity to understand the current higher education landscape and be able to contribute as an analyst to the configuration of the future state environment.

PREFERENCES: Moderate understanding of technology systems, including Windows, Linux. Knowledge of Drupal or other website platforms. Basic troubleshooting skills. Proficient in Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams. Technology related certifications are a plus. Robust understanding of collaboration platforms.
