Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning in one of the following (or related) disciplines:accounting, business, computer/information technology, or human resources.Exceptional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Academic credentials in accounting or business; current Certified Public Accountant
  • Supervisory or teaching experience in one or more of the following areas: Business Office, Information Technology, Facilities, Human Resources, Safety, or Security
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates having at least five (5) years of supervisory employment within the North Carolina Community College System.

POSITION

Vice President for Administration

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

The Vice President for Administration (VPA) serves as the College’s Chief Financial Officer, Technology Officer, Human Resource Officer and Facilities Officer and provides vision and leadership for all departments within the unit.  The VPA is a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), working closely with the President, Vice President for Instruction, and the Vice President for Students to provide strategic and operational leadership of the College.
