Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, television production or related field from a regionally accredited institution is required.
- Strong ability to operate television production equipment such as HD cameras, character generator, audio board, switcher, light board, editor, tape machines, etc.
- Experience in the production and direction of broadcast programming.
- Knowledge of and ability to electrically interconnect any equipment used in the studio or in the performance of the duties of the position
- Experience in effectively managing multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Excellent people, written, oral communication, and presentation skills required
- Experience with Avid Media Composer, Adobe Production Suite, Broadcast Pix, Tricaster, Xen Data Storage, Ultra-Nexus HD server or other related tools

Position Description
Assists in providing Southeastern Community College and the people of Columbus County accessible educational, social and cultural opportunities by means of a two-way audio and video telecommunications network utilizing advanced cable communications transmission technology.
Essential Duties:
- Designs and maintains television studio and control room, production equipment and facilities.
- Acts as liaison to Columbus County cable companies.
- Provides training for production staff.
- Responsible for pre-production, production, and post-production of all live broadcasts.
- Works in cooperation with other areas of the institution to promote training and marketing videos.
- Schedule, produce and edit programming for airing on the SCC cable television channel.
- Schedules and maintains a full-time cable channel and the online PEG central account.
- Operate all equipment necessary to produce SCC programming, i.e. cameras, character generator, audio board, switcher, light board, editor, tape machines, etc.
- Work as the lead campus videographer
- Stay current on latest trends within broadcast/production field
- Supervise student staff
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Budget Management
- Manages departmental budgets as determined by the Director of Marketing & Communications
- Recommends area needs for personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, and other resources during the annual planning process
- Maintains labs where applicable related to equipment and supplies, preventative maintenance and purchase of supplies
Services to Students
- Maintains regular, appropriate, professional communication with students
- Other duties specific to the position
- Remains current in discipline through professional development activities offered by the College and other opportunities including but not limited to: off-campus activities, webinars, conference, etc. as approved
- Works with the Broadcasting & Production Technology Instructor
