Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related field; or commensurate professional experience.
Three years of designing/developing and/or managing websites, preferably in a large institutional or higher education setting.
Knowledge of a variety of software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in systems analysis is desirable.
Position Description
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design, develop, and maintain an engaging and user-friendly website that reflects the College’s mission and values, and that ensures the website’s security and optimal performance.
- Implement updates and improvements to the website’s features, layouts, and multimedia elements.
- Create, update, and manage website content, ensuring accuracy and alignment with College policies and programs.
- Collaborate with various departments to showcase academic programs, events, and other relevant information in alignment with the College’s strategic goals.
- Update and maintain data files, and explore and provide solutions for collecting/archiving data.
- Develop web-based database and email forms for the College.
- Monitor website and promptly address technical issues, broken links, and errors.
- Regularly perform routine updates, patches, and maintenance tasks.
- Implement SEO best practices to enhance the website’s visibility and ranking.
- Utilize web analytics tools to track and analyze website performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the website against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Stay informed about cybersecurity best practices and implement necessary measures.
- Provide technical support to users encountering issues with the website.
- Gather and address user feedback to enhance the overall user experience.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for specialized web-related projects and needs.
- Ensure the website complies with relevant education regulations, accessibility standards, and College policies.
- Perform other duties related to the function of FTCC’s websites as needed or as assigned.
