Minimum Qualifications

Diploma in Welding Technology (or equivalent) with AWS Welding Certification, Certified Welding Instructor, or Certified Associate Welding Inspector. Must have experience in ARC Welding (SMAW, GMAW and GTAW) and Oxyacetylene Welding (OAW). Communication, both oral and written, and computer skills necessary. Must be willing to complete NCCER Certified Instructor Training (ICTP).
 Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must have expert efficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college. On-line teaching experience.

Position Description

ayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position. Duties

Help students realize their dreams by organizing and delivering class objectives in a clear, concise manner. 
 
Provide general classroom and clinical lab instruction both online and in a traditional setting according to the standards set by the department. 
 
Teach face-to-face classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus. 
 
Incorporate latest instructional technologies in course delivery and utilize interactive learning technologies to engage students in the teaching and learning process. 
 
Assist in program recruitment. 
 
Advise and register students who are in the program or aspire to be in the program. 
 
Monitor and improve student retention. 
 
Maintain class records. 
 
Assist in the design and update of courses and courses syllabi, curriculum review, revisions, and development. 
 
Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient laboratory environment. 
 
Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff. 
 
Continually develop and improve skills through professional development. 
 
Participate in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.
