Minimum Qualifications

Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Education, or related field.

Two (2) years of experience in recruitment services.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree and work experience in higher education is preferred .

Position Description

The Student Recruiter/Advisor establishes and administers programs for targeting recruitment and admission of students. Coordinates recruitment efforts and serves as the primary point of contact for the institution’s service regions and internal coordination of the College participation in outreach activities. Provides academic advising for students.

Essential Duties:

· Develops a comprehensive recruiting plan and schedule to promote and increase awareness for program offerings.

· Maintains the recruiter calendar and establishes monthly recruiting event opportunities.

· Establishes and maintains relationships with high school counselors, teachers, community agencies and partners in the service area.

· Assists new students with the enrollment process.

· Provides programmatic information and enrollment information to prospective students and their family in various modalities (in-person, via phone, etc.).

· Maintains a process for effectively following up with interested and prospective students.

· Maintains the system for monitoring the number of interest forms, admission applications and enrolled students.

· Collaborates with other areas to prepare presentations for the CACRAO recruitment tours and other recruiting opportunities.

· Plans and implements monthly information sessions on both campuses as well as for relevant agencies in the local Person and Caswell communities.

· Participates in classroom visits and other special events to present program information and provide information on the admissions and enrollment process.

· Plans and coordinates open house events like Get To Know sessions.

· Collaborates with Marketing and Communications to produce recruitment materials.

· Increase total application pool as set by the Director, Admissions and Recruitment.

· Provide assistance to students by developing academic advising plans and identifying support services to help meet their educational goals.

Additional Duties: 

· Serves as a backup for the admissions during high peak registration periods and hours

· Provides multi-campus support during peak registration periods and special events.

· Serves on various committees.

· Other duties as needed.
